Charity Update from Helen:
Dear Friends,
As you know, The Musicians' Benevolent Fund is a charity dear to my heart because my father benefited from them tremendously when he was alive. I have seen, first-hand, their remarkable work.
Thanks to you and your support, a $620 donation (a percentage of CD sales collected throughout 2010) went to the MBF at the end of last year. Not only am I am delighted with everyone's support for my music but also that we could help out a very good cause! Bravo!
This year in Portage La Prairie, my students and I will be raising funds for The Portage Women's Shelter - another very worthwhile charity. Last year we raised $280 through ticket sales to our Vocal Showcase and hope to raise even more this year.
Although not strictly a charity, I wanted to say how thoroughly Jonathan Alexiuk and I enjoyed entertaining the seniors at Portage Lion's Manor in December. We are planning to do it a few more times in 2011. It’s a remarkable and unique privilege to share a passion for their music!
Thank you again for your support. All the best to you in 2011.

No (More) Dinosaur Bones, recorded in August 2009, is an album of all original compositions written between 1999 and 2009. Songs are indie-pop/folk flavour featuring all kinds of subject matter; from love songs to a song about an imagined bus crash. Acoustic guitar, bass, drums and percussion are complimented with cello and vocals and backing vocals.
Diverse, interesting and different, the album features some electro-acoustic compositions and poetry. Well-crafted and long overdue!
